The staff are caring and great at all levels. What let's down this Health Centre is the administration of the appointments system. I appreciate the surgery is overstretched but it is not right that patient who needs to receive timely care bear the repercussions.

Suggested improvements
Why have an e-consult service and then close it when you reach a total daily limit of submissions from patients? I can understand that you need to limit the times that it is open, but not the number of e-consult submissions. We are left with no other option in some cases than to fight through the telephone lines with an administrative query that takes up staff's precious time, which could have easily been resolved with a simple e-consult submission. Please consider filtering the e-consult options, surely there is no need for a daily limit for Fit note request submissions?

I have given one star to everything asked as I cannot give zero stars. I can't answer question two as I cannot get an appointment with a doctor!

Suggested improvements
I want to be able to make an appointment. When one finally gets through on the 'phone there are no appointments left. The surgery staff in their wisdom refuses to give out appointments in advance of the day one calls. As a carer I need to be able to plan in advance also, as a carer I'm supposed to be a priority - what a joke that is! Doctors and nurses, the caring profession LOL.

Unable to get through in the mornings, when I do there are no appointments left and told to call back the next day. The e-consult froms have not been working for weeks and there is literally no way of getting an appointment to speak to the doctors for the medication I desperately need (not a repeat). The receptionists are rude and unhelpful when I.do.get through - "computer says no" mentality.

I visit the health centre on very rare occasions, hence when I need medical assistance I am calling for a genuine reason. I had a back issue and spoke with a paramedic, physio and then doctor. The doctor was the most unhelpful of the three, very patronising and I felt like I shouldn’t have bothered him! Unfortunately this happened the last time I contacted the health centre and it’s just such a bad service!

Suggested improvements
More empathy, listen to your patients as diagnosis over the phone is not accurate! Look at patients records and if they don’t have a history of calling frequently, Understand they are calling for help!

Couldn’t get through on the phone Tried econsult 6pm - 7pm & not available Tried patient access & no appointments available This drives people to go to A & E but we are told not to What do you have to do to get a response from Didcot health centre???
